How to Improve the Mental Wellbeing of Teachers and Their Students: Results of the Third Annual Merrimack Teacher Survey

The results of the 3rd annual Merrimack American Teacher survey suggest that teacher and student mental health continue to be major challenges for educators.

Compared to one year ago, a larger share of teachers say mental health and wellness are having a negative impact on their own teaching and professional growth and the teacher and professional growth of their colleagues. Relative to 2023, more educators say the mental health of their colleagues at school has worsened over the course of the school year. Also relative to 2023, a higher share of teachers say student mental health has declined over the course of the current school year. A smaller share say it has improved.

The results may seem discouraging, but districts and schools are working to turn the tide. In this webinar you will:
